AFWP NATIVE EYES Returns to Rosebud Reservation in August, 2024

In mid-August we will be returning to Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota, focusing this years free eye clinic on children. We are partnering with the Todd County School District, led by Superintendent Roberta Bizardie, who will be hosting our travel clinic. Many children are struggling in school because they are not able to see properly. We have proven over the past 12 years that providing children with quality eye care is a vital part of their educational success. Since the transportation of children has been an issue for us over the years, we decided to bring our clinic directly into the largest school on the reservation. That will avoid the issue of having the young children get to us. We’re so excited. Our goal is to take care of all of the children on Rosebud, over the next couple of years. We wish to thank our doctors, opticians and travel teams. Our sponsors this year are Padre Pio Foundation of America and  Essilor Foundation’s Changing Life Through Lenses. We are grateful to the  generosity and commitment from everyone involved, without whom our work wouldn’t be possible.
